Praying At All Times in the Spirit

Having put on the Full Armor of God (Yahovah), we are now equipped to enter into a spiritual battle. However, all of this Armor will do us no good if we don’t have the key to using Yahovah’s Armor. That Key is Prayer!

Paul made it clear in Ephesians 6:18 after describing each piece of Yahovah’s Armor and how we are to use it in our spiritual warfare. He gave us the key to making all of Yahovah’s Armor effective by our prayers to Yahovah! Yahovah is Father and Leader and every soldier must follow orders despite being equipped to do so. Our Father and Leader will guide us to victory because he knows how to defeat Satan. We will be victorious because Yahovah hears our prayers and provides us the strength, courage and endurance as we engage in this spiritual warfare with Satan every day!

Yeshua made it very clear that we should always pray and not lose heart not matter what is going on our lives. He made this very clear as he spoke a parable about a widow who consistently sought justice from a hard and unjust judge (Luke 18:1-8). The judge finally gave in to the widow because of her persistent request for justice. And in verses Luke 18:7-8 we clearly see that persistent prayer has a reward if we don’t quit.

Luke 18:7-8. 7 Now, will God not judge in favor of his own people who cry to him day and night for help? Will he be slow to help them? 8 I tell you, he will judge in their favor and do it quickly. But will the Son of Man find faith on earth when he comes?”

Yeshua also left us the Ruach Hakodesh (Holy Spirit) with us to help us when we pray. The Ruach will always lead us on what to say when we can’t muster up the words to do so. That in itself is unconditional love from our Father and Yeshua no matter the situation is. The Ruach HaKodesh will also pray for us in groans that we could never comprehend or understand with any human wisdom as Paul describes in Romans 8:26.

Romans 8:26 In the same way the Spirit also comes to help us, weak as we are. For we do not know how we ought to pray; the Spirit himself pleads with God for us in groans that words cannot express

We should never feel that we have to pray in a fancy way or use big words so that our Father in heaven will hear us. He is not seeking us to impress Him with big collegiate level words. He is seeking after our hearts first and foremost. His Son and our Savior Yeshua gave us a blueprint on how to pray that covers all the basis. The prayer that Yeshua gave us what is commonly know as the “Lord’s Prayer”!

Yeshua told us the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew 6:9-13

This is what Yeshua said:

Matthew 6:9-13 9 This, then, is how you should pray:

‘Our Father in heaven:

May your holy name be honored;

10 may your Kingdom come;

may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

11 Give us today the food we need.

12 Forgive us the wrongs we have done,

as we forgive the wrongs that others have done to us.

13 Do not bring us to hard testing,

but keep us safe from the Evil One.’

Finally, Yeshua also gave us His example of praying for others and not only ourselves. As He was hanging on the execution stake, He prayed for other despite the horrible punishment that the people did to him as He was being falsely convicted and led to be crucified.

Yeshua prayed with total love in His heart for mankind as He was dying on the execution stake (Luke 23:34).

Luke 23:34 And Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” And they cast lots to divide his garments.

Pray and ask Our Father to let the Ruach HaKodesh lead you every time you pray with an open heart.

Pray with the words that come from your heart because of your love for Him and our Savior Yeshua!

Pray and lay your requests (Petitions) at the feet of Yeshua (Jesus) Amen!

Praise Yahovah

Peace and Blessings to you all!
